What is Bare Yogis Online Yoga Studio about? 
You can read our studio bio here, but in short, Bare Yogis is about reaching the people who need yoga the most! We are far removed from the typical Western / Americanized yoga, and we strive to embody the heart of yoga as a way of life. This isn't just yoga postures, but also a mindset, and a goal of continual betterment---striving for the truth in life. This translates differently for each person who comes to Bare Yogis! We do offer amazing physical yoga classes, so you can get a great workout, and also can relieve stress and anxiety. Our meditations and breath practices are especially helpful in this area. We also offer "Yogi Talks" which are a variety of topics that we discuss, that related to each person where they are at in their life. You don't have to be any specific thing in order to benefit from the videos---you especially do not need to be fit, flexible, or calm. But we will help you get there, if that is your goal! We offer all of our classes completely donation-based, and we also offer online yoga teacher trainings, workshops, recovery programs, and so much more!
What is donation-based?
We believe that yoga is for every body---not just for those who can afford it, not just for those who can move gracefully, not just for those who "fit in", and not just for those with all of the gear and the clothes. True authentic yoga is especially for those with broken minds and bodies, those who need peace and healing in their lives, those who need inclusion, and those who have some work to do---and money doesn't have a thing to do with healing, self-care, or self-love. So, we offer the majority of our yoga 100% donation-based! We just ask that if you can afford to, contribute a love donation to Bare Yogis from time-to-time, so we can also pay forward the love!
Does that mean I can practice for free?
Absolutely! You don't owe us a dime, and you're welcome to utilize our video content as much as your heart desires. We do, however, have paid memberships available, as well as merchandise, specialty programs, and also an open donation platform, and ask that in return, you support Bare Yogis as much as you have the ability (our donation form allows one-time or recurring donations)! This helps us pay our platform fees (which isn't inexpensive!), pay our instructors (we work full time AND overtime), and continue to provide high quality content to our students! However, if you never have the financial ability to donate, that is absolutely okay! Keep practicing with us! That's what we're here for!
How can I support your work?
We're glad you asked! There are many ways to support Bare Yogis (monetarily and otherwise)! 
  1. Make a donation! We run on donations, and have taught donation-based yoga for over 10 years in local communities, and want to continue to do so with online classes! You can choose to make a one-time donation or a recurring monthly donation of any amount! Large or small, we are very grateful for every dollar of contribution!
  2. Subscribe to a paid membership! We do offer paid memberships ($7/month or $70/year) for our online yoga studio, though most content will always be available without ever having to pay. Subscribed members do have the benefit of saving videos to their favorites, to be able to easily return to certain videos, have their own login, and potentially have access to exclusive content in the future!
  3. Shop Bare Yogis merchandise! Not only do you get cool new yoga gear (and affordable), but also a percentage of the proceeds goes directly to Bare Yogis!
  4. Enjoy our classes or what we're about? Tell your friends!! Word-of-mouth is the greatest way to advertise to share a product or service! As a small business, we are grateful for all recommendations we receive!
  5. Host a Bare Yogis class or event in your area! Currently, we are setting up events in our regional local area, and in the near future would love to set up classes in further areas. If you'd like to host us in your area (will travel!) or know of a great spot for us to film, contact us and let us know!
  6. Follow our social media and interact with our posts (likes and comments)! Not only does this mean you'll keep seeing our posts, but this also helps more people to see our posts! Our social media links are available at the top of this page, and available on each member's bio page.

Who can join?
Literally anyone! We welcome all people of all varieties of life! Our yoga welcomes people of all body types, shapes, sizes, colors, genders, sexual orientations, abilities, disabilities, ages, backgrounds, religions, marital statuses, etc. More specifically, our yoga is for those who want to feel better in life, and make self-improvement progress! If you have stress, this is for you. If you have problems, this is for you. If you aren't flexible, this is for you. If you are a total beginner, this is for you. If you are fit and want to add variety to your practice, this is for you! If you have a broken body and mind, this is for you. We work to make our classes accessible to a variety of people, and if you aren't finding the right fit for your condition or topic, contact us and let us know!
If I subscribe to a paid membership or monthly donation, can I cancel anytime?
Absolutely! You may cancel at any time! To cancel a membership, log in to your profile, and cancel through your account settings. To cancel a recurring monthly donation, click the link in your email receipt from your previous donation. 
What devices can I use to watch and subscribe?
Currently, you can stream videos from Bare Yogis Online with any computer, laptop, smart phone, or tablet! You can even watch from some smart TV's by utilizing the web browser option! In the near future, we hope to further expand to become available on Roku, Fire TV, Apple TV, and more, including launching our own mobile app! That's our hope, anyways! 
Will you be adding more content?
YES! We will continuously be adding new content to our collection! We launched Bare Yogis on July 1, 2020, so we recognize that our collection is a little on the small side right now, but we have many videos in the works (and new team members on the way), and will be uploading them as they are available, so our collection will be growing regularly! 
What is yoga?
Yoga is what you make it. You may find many different definitions of what yoga is, answered by many different people. Yoga can be a very powerful physical fitness. It can relax your mind. It can also help you to connect to your higher power. Because of these things, it can open you up to really discovering who you are in this life. Use yoga for what works best for you, and forget about what doesn't. Yoga interprets differently for each individual, but the goal is the same: union. Union of the body, mind, and spirit.
Do I need anything to practice yoga?
You just need yourself and a device to stream our videos! However, we do recommend a yoga mat for better grip and stability, clothing that is easy to move in, and sometimes it may be helpful to have a block or two, a strap, and any other yoga prop you think might be beneficial. Oh, and don't forget to drink plenty of water! Hydration is very important, too. 
Who can enroll to become a certified yoga instructor?
Anyone. We do prefer that you've at least practiced yoga before and know that this is what you want to do, but no experience is required! (Some students sign up after just one class with us---because yoga can be that life-changing!) We take our trainings very seriously, and work just as hard as you will to help you become the best  yoga teacher you can be! 
Can I become a yoga instructor if I have an injury or limitation?
Absolutely! Again, we specialize in real yoga for real people! Realistically, most people have some injury or issue that they're working with, whether it's visible or not, whether it's physical or mental. How much more important is it for our teachers to be just as real?! We've trained some amazing instructors through our 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training who have had spinal fusions, knee replacements, recovering from PTSD and anxiety, post-COVID complications (heart and lung) and so much more. If you can breathe, you can do yoga. Similarly, if you can breathe, you can teach yoga. Yoga is so much more than postures, and even flexibility and advanced postures are not required.
